New name and new era for successful engineering firm.

A successful engineering firm with a formidable reputation in its field is rebranding to reflect its growing body of work.

SHG Refrigeration Ltd is changing its name to SHG Engineering Ltd to reflect the increased breadth of services it now provides for its valued clients.

Launched in April 2013, the family-run company rapidly became known as a leading name in the industry and has been widely recognised for delivering high quality refrigeration installations.

In 2023 the company expanded its offering to meet market demand, investing heavily in its Birkenhead facility to provide state-of-the-art fabrication facilities with overhead cranes, upgraded offices and employee facilities.

The company will now operate across a wide range of sectors including marine, oil & gas, petrochemical, power stations and critical power, renewables, and industrial services. Services provided now include pressure vessels, mechanical services, pipework, coded welding, fabrication and structural steel.

Sean Grey, director at SHG Engineering, said: “Although we have a new name, we have the same unparallelled commitment to quality and excellence that has seen us proud to become one of the leading names in our field over the last decade.”

As well as major investment in its facilities, SHG Engineering has also expanded its team of trained and skilled engineers with plans to grow the workforce even further.
